Sanofi Inspires website

Sanofi Inspires is an initiative to raise awareness of the charitable causes Sanofi supports. It also acts as a hub for Sanofi staff to promote their own charitable events as well as find out about what is going on at other Sanofi offices across the UK.

The brief

Sanofi were looking for a Corporate Social Responsibility website that was simple for visitors to interact with, but also easy to manage and update.

It also needed to allow users the ability to submit their challenges for good causes, simply, without any complicated form filling fuss. Packaged into this, was revitalizing the outdated design, giving the website a makeover and stripping out any unnecessary information.

The solution

After listening to the clients requirements and auditing their old site it was clear there were many navigational issues with some pages almost completely unfindable, they were also lacking the functionality they needed for people to add their own charitable events and interact with the site.

I worked on wireframes to create a clear and consistent navigation. I made the user generated content the key with updated feeds on the homepage as well as areas to update news and events.

I experimented with Adobe Muse to create the wireframes. This allowed me to create the site structure easily and also wireframe the tablet and mobile sizes quickly. Muse also allowed me to add some interactive elements such as a slider and a map, which was a useful talking point when presenting the wireframes to the client. When it came to the visual design this was also done in Muse and I worked over the top of the wireframes which made the process quicker. Muse worked fairly well for this project as it was a small site. I don’t think it could stand up on larger scale projects and certainly does not compete with Axure as wireframing software but fun to experiment with none the less.
